The need to redefine the sense of the environmental liability with expert industrial processes, recycling actions or use of green materials: sustainability is a complex reality with which all companies, sooner or later, have to deal with. But there are those who, indeed, know how to deal better than others and for this reason Maison & Objet has established the Fil Vert prize, dedicated to all the exhibitors at the trade fair, to reward the excellence on the "eco-fiendly" field.
In the crowd of more than 3.000 participants in the latest edition of the French historic fair, only 12 have received the prestigious award: among them WallPepper® has been the only Italian brand to be joined to this ethical circuit, that has been analysed and selected by an accredited panel of journalists.
The “Minimizing environmental impact" is the category for thus WallPepper® has received the "Fil Vert" plaque: its wallpapers, in fact, born from the skilful combination of textile and cellulose fibres, are PVC free, made with environmentally friendly and water-based inks, applied with a non-toxic glue. The WallPepper® surfaces have certainly aesthetic qualities but, above all, they improve the quality of life within a location.
The four certifications - Greenguard, Nordic Swan, AgBB and UL - obtained in a very short time by the WallPepper® materials are a direct proof. Greenguard guarantees products designed for an indoor use that meet strict chemical emissions limits. The Nordic Swan, instead, follows the sustainability of the product for the entire product cycle life; AgBB is one of the most stringent European standards dedicated to the evaluation of health effects caused by building products. Finally UL certifies the compliance of a product with the safety requirements imposed by USA and Canada, it's an international level in terms of risk of fire, electric shock and mechanical hazards.
