If we had always considered the author and his creation inseparable, this is time to leave these certainties.
The event "Valentina besides Crepax" - WallPepper® showroom from May, 20 to 31 2016 - wants to open unusual and exciting interpretations of these two personalities - one real and one imaginary - whose stories have been with us for more than '50 years. Yes, because Valentina is an independent woman, one of the most intriguing girl in the comics history that survived and survives to its creator; and Guido Crepax has always been an absolute creative, occupied in different artistic forms.
The life of Valentina and Guido trace two lines now intersected but now independent and it's on these parallel tracks that WallPepper® startes to "interpret" the Crepax artworks on wallpaper. These subjects have just entered this year in the WallPepper® Fine-Art Catalogue, a project where the brand proposes itself as a new means to spread artistic images, to give art an unlimited surface without borders.
The walls don't just tell about Valentina: frescoes of battles in the far east and sketches of historic cities accompanying graphics dominated by the much loved heroin with the black bob, giving an idea of the intense activity of Guido Crepax. A genius that in more than 40 years has produced advertising campaigns for international companies and hundreds of illustrations for magazines, covers album, interior decoration, fashion and design, some of which will be show at the WallPepper® showroom.

As well as Crepax is reread as eclectic artist, Valentina comes out from the comic to live a different identity through WallPepper®: complex, full of different nuances and contradictions, the bearer of a timeless aesthetics, the character leaves its narrative roots to find a new background that intensify its contemporary heroine size.
And his stories, inspired by the world of film, photography and fashion, strongly remind the WallPepper® Fine-Art project and the will to express a wide range of artwork fields, from painting to drawing, from the comic to the bas-relief and pop realism. The reproduction without losing the emotion stirred up by these masterpieces, which also acquire the sustainable and environmentally friendly features guaranteed by all the wallpapers signed WallPepper®.
